Quinta e ultima puntata della nostro viaggio tra le uscite del 2010 della sergio Bonelli Editore. Scopriamo in anteprima cosa ci attende nell’annata di Lilith, Demian, Brad Barron, nonché nel prossimo volume dei Romanzi a Fumetti e, dulcis in fundo, tra le pagine della nuova miniserie Cassidy.

Lilith

Nel quarto albo della viaggiatrice del tempo creata da Luca Enoch, in edicola a giugno, lo scenario sarà quello della Guerra di Secessione americana. Lilith si muoverà lungo l’insanguinato confine tra Kansas e Missouri, dove infuria la sporca guerra dei bushwacker, irregolari confederati guidati da personaggi famigerati come William Quantrill e “Bloody” Bill Anderson. Per rintracciare il suo bersaglio, la nostra cronoagente dovrà unirsi a una di queste bande e cavalcare con i guerriglieri, a fianco dei fratelli Frankie e Jesse James, fino alla cittadina di Lawrence, luogo del terribile massacro del 1863 a opera di Quantrill. A novembre, invece, Lilith si ritroverà tra lande innevate e mari glaciali, “vichinghi” e “indiani”. La caccia inizierà tra le colonie normanne in Groenlandia, il “Paese Verde” cinto dai ghiacci, ma, per raggiungere il suo bersaglio, Lilith dovrà addirittura attraversare il freddo mare del nord a bordo dei knarr norvegesi e raggiungere le coste del Nord America fino a Vinland “la Buona”, la dolce “Terra del vino” celebrata nelle saghe islandesi.

Demian

È trascorso del tempo, da quando è andato via. Molto tempo. Ma loro non lo hanno dimenticato: non Marie, la madre di suo figlio, non i suoi amici Viviane ed Edmond, e neppure Gaston, il suo “compadre”, l’uomo che più di tutti gli è stato vicino. Gaston conosceva Demian come nessun altro, custodendo i suoi segreti, anche quelli che finora non sono mai stati raccontati. A lui toccherà parlare con il piccolo Etienne, e scacciare le ombre di un passato violento e turbinoso. Ombre che avranno terribili conseguenze sul mondo del nostro “Chevalier”, come potrete leggere nei primi due Speciali Demian, in edicola nei mesi di maggio e novembre.

Brad Barron

Torna l’eroe creato da Tito Faraci, nel quarto Speciale della serie, in edicola nel mese di ottobre. In una notte di primavera, una gigantesca sfera di metallo atterra in un campo di grano, nei pressi di una cittadina del Texas. La grande paura è che si tratti di un’astronave dei Morb. Gli alieni invasori sono dunque tornati? Brad Barron è chiamato rispondere a questa domanda. E si ritrova all’interno di un incubo totalmente nuovo, fatto di violenza e follia, che forse ha avuto origine da prima dell’arrivo del misterioso oggetto alieno. Preparatevi ad assaporare una storia in bilico tra fantascienza e horror, nella quale, ancora una volta, i “mostri” peggiori hanno sembianze fin troppo umane.

Romanzi a Fumetti

A giugno scoccherà l’ora dell’atteso quarto volume della collana Romanzi a Fumetti Bonelli. La storia, scritta da Paolo Morales per le chine di Roberto Diso, ci porterà nel cuore del 18° secolo. I due autori, infatti, hanno pensato di regalare un seguito a “L’ultimo dei Mohicani”, celeberrimo romanzo pubblicato nel 1826, più volte portato sul grande e piccolo schermo. Un’epopea che si snoderà nei selvaggi territori del Nord America e che, nelle sue quasi trecento pagine, farà rivivere i personaggi creati dalla fantasia dello scrittore James Fenimore Cooper.

Cassidy

California, 1977.Un anno particolare, il ’77. Siamo quasi alla fine del mondo così come lo intendevamo, prima che arrivassero i computer, i telefoni cellulari, internet, prima della caduta del Muro di Berlino e dell’era della globalizzazione. C’erano altre cose, a quei tempi. C’era della buona musica, c’erano bei film, c’erano macchine rombanti e veloci con cui correre oltre il confine messicano. I fuorilegge avevano vita facile, gli sbirri non disponevano ancora di tutte le diavolerie tecnologiche che hanno oggi. Si faceva la guerra ad armi pari, a volte perfino rispettandosi. E sperando che le minigonne non passassero mai di moda. Il 16 agosto del 1977, a Memphis, presso la sua dimora di Graceland, muore Elvis Presley. Quella stessa notte, una grossa Dodge nera, crivellata di proiettili, procede lungo una strada di campagna, al confine fra New Mexico e California. Al volante dell’auto c’è un uomo alto e robusto, con la faccia dura. Ha quattro proiettili in corpo e si sta dissanguando lentamente.  Così inizia l’ultima, lunga avventura di Raymond Cassidy, fuorilegge, ladro e rapinatore. Un uomo che stanotte scoprirà di avere solo un anno e mezzo di vita. Diciotto mesi per sistemare le cose, per fare i conti con il passato, prima di andare incontro al proprio destino. Non saranno mesi tranquilli, no di certo. Ci saranno scontri, e fughe, e vendette, ad aspettare Cassidy. Donne bellissime, spietati criminali, tenaci tutori della legge arriveranno a complicargli la vita. E un vecchio musicista cieco, il Bluesman, scandirà per lui il trascorrere di quegli ultimi giorni. Una vita al massimo, per Cassidy, una vita a tutta velocità, verso una fine già segnata… Ma che riserverà a lui, e ai lettori della nuova miniserie creata da Pasquale Ruju (in edicola da maggio), più di una sorpresa!

Fifth and final installment of our journey through the exits of 2010 by Sergio Bonelli Editore. We find a preview of what awaits us in the year of Lilith, Demian, Brad Barron, and at the forthcoming volume of the graphic novel and, last but not least, the pages of the new miniseries Cassidy.

Lilith  In the fourth register of time traveling created by Luca Enoch, on sale in June, the scenario will be that of the American Civil War. Lilith will move along the bloody border between Kansas and Missouri, where the dirty war rages bushwacker, irregular Confederates led by notorious figures such as William Quantrill and “Bloody” Bill Anderson. To track its target, our cronoagente will join one of these bands and ride with the guerrillas, alongside brother Frank and Jesse James, to the town of Lawrence, site of the terrible massacre of 1863 at the hands of Quantrill. In November, however, Lilith finds himself in the moors and snow-covered sea ice, “Vikings” and “Indians”. The hunt will begin Norman settlements in Greenland, the “Village Green” surrounded by ice, but to reach its target, even Lilith will have to cross the cold North Sea on board the Norwegian Knarr and reach the coasts of North America until Vinland “the Good”, the gentle “Land of Wine” celebrated in the Icelandic sagas.

Demian  You spent the time since he left. Long time. But they have not forgotten, not Mary, the mother of his son, his friends and Viviane Edmond, nor Gaston, his “compadre,” the man who more than any was near. Gaston knew Demian like no other, guarding their secrets, even those who until now have never been told. He’ll have to talk to the little Etienne, and drive away the shadows of a violent and turbulent past. Brad Barron Back to the hero created by Tito Faraci, in the fourth Special series, on sale in October. On a spring night, a giant metal ball lands in a cornfield near a small town in Texas. The great fear is that this is a spaceship of the disease. The alien invaders are therefore returned? Brad Barron is called to answer this question. And he found himself in a whole new nightmare, because of violence and madness, which perhaps had its origins before the arrival of the mysterious alien object. Get ready to savor a story in the balance between science fiction and horror, in which, once again, the “monsters” are the worst too human semblance.

Graphic novel  A big test in June the time of the expected fourth volume of the series graphic novel Bonelli. The story, written by Paul Morales on the slopes of Roberto Diso, will lead us in the middle of the 18th century. The two authors, in fact, have thought of giving a sequel to “The Last of the Mohicans,” famous novel published in 1826, repeatedly brought to the big and small screen. An epic that will unfold in the wilds of North America and that, in its nearly three hundred pages, will revive the characters created by the imagination of writer James Fenimore Cooper.

Cassidy  California 1977.Un particular year, the ‘77. There were other things in those days. There was good music, there were good movies, there were roaring machines and speed with which run across the Mexican border. The outlaws had an easy life, the cops did not yet have all the newfangled technology they have today. It was the war on equal terms, sometimes even addressed each other. And hoping that skirts never go out of fashion. On August 16, 1977, in Memphis, at his home of Graceland, Elvis Presley died. That same night, a big black Dodge, riddled with bullets along a country road on the border between New Mexico and California. When driving a car is a tall and strong, his face hard. Has four bullets in his body and is slowly bleeding. So begins the last, long adventure of Raymond Cassidy, outlaws, thieves and robbers. A man who tonight will discover that you have only a year and a half of life. Eighteen months to fix things, to come to terms with the past, before you go to meet his fate. Seconda puntata sulle anteprime in casa Bonelli per il 2010, dopo Tex, Dampyr e Caravan ,è il momento di Dylan Dog, Magico Vento e Brendon.

Dylan Dog

Un anno, il 2010 di Dylan Dog, carico di novità. Si parte con l’esordio sulla serie regolare dello sceneggiatore Alessandro Bilotta che, assieme al disegnatore Giovanni Freghieri, firma l’albo di febbraio, intitolato “Il cammino della vita”: un cammino che Dylan dovrà percorrere fino in fondo per poter fermare un assassino che lotta contro il tempo. Si prosegue, a marzo, con l’Almanacco della Paura, contenente la seconda storia lunga (dopo quella nello scorso “Maxi”) scritta da un altro giovane autore della serie: Giovanni Gualdoni. Suo complice, alle matite, Luigi Piccatto: i due intrappolano l’Inquilino di Craven Road in un grattacielo dove si aggira un maniaco assassino, mascherato e armato d’ascia. Sempre a marzo una piacevole sorpresa per i fan delle creature della notte: ritorna, dopo un’attesa di quasi sei anni, Manila, la bella e sensuale vampira amata dall’Old Boy e scomparsa nell’albo n. 214. A ridare vita alla non-morta è, oggi come allora, il suggestivo tratto di Corrado Roi, insuperabile nel riprodurre le atmosfere romantiche e cimiteriali proprie di questa storia intitolata “Relazioni pericolose”. Di tutt’altro genere, vale a dire “claustrofobica” e “angosciante” è invece l’avventura d’aprile, scritta da Giovanni Di Gregorio e disegnata da Giampiero Casertano. A loro si deve l’idea di coinvolgere Dylan in uno degli incubi più spaventosi e comuni che si possano immaginare: le tasse! E di tanti nuovi incubi è carico anche il prossimo Maxi Dylan Dog, che ospiterà un piccolo esordio, quello di Andrea Cavaletto, regista e scrittore horror. E, per concludere, il pezzo forte di questo 2010, ovvero il passaggio del Dylan Dog Color Fest da annuale a semestrale, alternando numeri “speciali”, dedicati di volta in volta a temi e generi diversi, a numeri regolari. La formula è la stessa degli ultimi anni: quattro storie inedite, complete e a colori, scritte e disegnate da autori nuovi e non. In questo primo appuntamento, intitolato “Speciale Humor”, fanno parte Massimo Carnevale (su sceneggiatura di Lorenzo Bartoli, anche lui alla prima prova con il Dylan), Fabio Celoni (su testi di Bruno Enna), Corrado Mastantuono (in coppia con Giovanni Gualdoni) e, squillino le trombe, rullino i tamburi, Giorgio Cavazzano (in tandem con il fido Tito Faraci).

Magico Vento

Per Ned e Poe il 2010 sarà un anno del tutto speciale perché segnerà la conclusione delle loro avventure. L’azione, come i lettori sanno, si è già da qualche episodio spostata nel sud degli Stati Uniti, dove Ned partecipa al tentativo del capo apache Victorio di resistere all’esercito americano. Le traversie della guerra trascineranno entrambi in Messico. Ned non dovrà soltanto affrontare una delle imprese più difficili e aspre della sua vita, ma si troverà inaspettatamente di fronte alla rivelazione del suo destino, cioè allo scopo finale della sua misteriosa missione: scoprirà così perché è diventato sciamano, e perché il suo maestro Cavallo Zoppo lo aveva scelto. Ricompariranno personaggi che sembravano spariti nel nulla, primo fra tutti l’agente segreto trasformista Henry Task. Ned troverà anche un nuovo amore, che gli sarà conteso da un infernale comandante dei Rurales. Il tutto si concluderà con uno Speciale, davvero speciale!, che ripercorrerà, narrata in prima persona da Poe, l’intera serie: dal principio (con un episodio inedito disegnato dal grande e compianto Marcello e che si inserisce narrativamente nel primo anno della collana), passando per la prima inchiesta giornalistico/criminale di Poe (disegnata da Pezzi, che debutta sulla nostra serie, come vedrete, davvero alla grande), per concludersi… oltre la fine, cioè raccontando cosa accadde a Ned DOPO la sua ultima avventura (episodio illustrato da Biglia, uno dei nostri più valenti disegnatori). Il tutto incorniciato, come si trattasse di un unico racconto, dal memoriale di Poe, al confine tra storia e leggenda (per gli evocativi disegni di Matteoni). Il 2010 sarà dunque l’occasione per completare la raccolta di MV.

Brendon

L’inizio del 2010 brendoniano vedrà il ritorno del folle alchimista Trevanian, celebrato da una corposa storia in due parti, nella seconda delle quali Trevanian colpirà il nostro eroe dritto al cuore, infiggendo un ago rovente in uno dei momenti più dolorosi del suo passato. Poi vi sarà un nuovo scontro fra Brendon e lo stregone Zeder, divenuto il simbolo vivente della Luna Nera, che – insieme al maligno e feroce Ysp – sta tessendo le sue oscure trame per sedere molto presto sul trono delle Nuove Tenebre. E, oltre che Brendon, Zeder affronterà la strega Morrigan, in una lotta che segnerà una svolta decisiva! Lo Speciale estivo segnerà il ritorno di Andy, il piccolo e crudele angelo della morte conosciuto nell’albo “La ballata degli assassini” dell’ormai lontano aprile 1999. Andy incrocerà misteriosamente il percorso di Brendon e quello di Azalhee, un’assassina bellissima e tormentata. Il nostro eroe dovrà poi cercare l’acqua di luce, l’unico rimedio per salvare sette anime, e in questa ricerca sarà osteggiato dal folle Caspar e dal suo crudele amico immaginario, Funnyface. Infine, Brendon affronterà il mistero di un aereo partito da Glasgow per Londra il 7 aprile 2017 della nostra era, e scomparso nei cieli britannici.

Dylan Dog

One year, 2010, Dylan Dog, loaded with novelties. It starts with the debut on the ongoing series by writer Alessandro Bilotta that with the designer John Freghieri, sign the register in February, titled “The path of life: a journey that Dylan will have to go all the way to stop a murderess fighting against time. Magic Wind

For Ned and Poe 2010 will be a year very special because it marks the conclusion of their adventures. The action, as readers know, has already moved some episode in the southern United States, where Ned participate in the Apache chief Victorio’s attempt to resist the U.S. Army. The hardships of war drag both in Mexico. Ned should not only address one of the most difficult and harsh in his life, but will unexpectedly upon the revelation of his destiny, that is the ultimate goal of his mysterious mission to discover why it became so shaman, and because her Master Horse Zoppo had chosen. Characters who reappear disappears, so, first of all the secret agent Henry-change task. Ned will also find a new love, which will be contested by an infernal commander Rurales. Brendon

Brendon early 2010 will see the return of the mad alchemist Trevanian, celebrated by a substantial history in two parts, the second of which hit our hero Trevanian straight to the heart, pierce a needle into one of the most searing pain of his past. Then there will be a new clash between Brendon and the Sorcerer Zeder, who became the living symbol of the Black Moon, who – along with the malignant and ferocious YSP – is weaving its dark textures to sit on the throne of early New Darkness. And, in addition to Brendon, Zeder address the witch Morrigan, in a struggle that will mark a turning point! The special summer will mark the return of Andy, the little cruel angel of death known in the ‘ “The Ballad of the assassins” of the now far away in April 1999. Andy crosses the path of Brendon and mysteriously to Azalhee, beautiful and tormented murderess. Our hero must then seek the water of light, the only remedy to save seven souls, and this research will be opposed by crowds Caspar and his cruel imaginary friend, Funnyface.
