Radio Kaos

Sono stati resi noti i risultati dell’autopsia effettuata sul corpo dell’attrice Brittany Murphy e, se possibile, rendono la sua morte ancora più assurda. A uccidere l’attrice infatti è stata una polmonite non curata che, nel suo fisico debilitato dall’eccesso di droghe e farmaci, ha avuto un effetto letale. La Murphy è morta lo scorso 20 dicembre nella sua casa di Los Angeles a 32 anni,(potete recuperare l’articolo nelle pagine di Radio kaos). Sarebbe bastato quindi molto poco per salvare la Murphy. Questo emerge dal rapporto del medico legale due mesi e mezzo dopo la morte della star di “Clueless”. Il portavoce Craig Harvey del coroner di Los Angeles ha detto che la polmonite è stata la causa primaria della morte di Brittany, a cui hanno contribuito anche una grave anemia e una intossicazione da vari farmaci. Harvey non ha voluto dire di quali medicine si trattasse. In questo modo, anche se la causa principale della morte è un’altra, vengono smentiti sia la madre che il marito di Brittany che avevano escluso a più riprese che l’attrice avesse fatto abuso di farmaci o soffrisse di un disordine alimentare.

A gran richiesta, visto che l’avevo nominato nell’articolo dei premi Radio Kaos, spiego cosa è il gioco : “BANG!”

Bang! è un gioco di carte con ambientazione western creato da Emiliano Sciarra ed edito dalla daVinci Editrice.Nel 2002 Bang! ha vinto il premio Best of Show a Lucca Comics&Games nella sezione Miglior Gioco Italiano e nel 2004 l’Origins Award nelle categorie Best Traditional Card Game of 2003 e Best Graphic Design of a Card Game or Expansion. Al gioco possono prendere parte da quattro a sette giocatori (che diventano da tre a otto, tramite l’espansione Dodge City). Ad ogni giocatore viene assegnato casualmente uno dei seguenti ruoli: 1 – Sceriffo; 2 – Vice Sceriffo ; 3 – Fuorilegge ; 4 – Rinnegato . Indipendentemente dal numero di giocatori vi saranno sempre uno sceriffo e un rinnegato mentre, a seconda del numero dei giocatori, vi potranno essere due o tre fuorilegge e da zero a due vicesceriffi. Ad ogni giocatore viene anche distribuita una carta-personaggio con abilità speciali e un determinato numero di proiettili (cioè punti-vita). Lo scopo del gioco cambia al variare del ruolo: 1- I Fuorilegge devono eliminare lo Sceriffo ; 2 – Lo Sceriffo e i Vicesceriffi devono eliminare i Fuorilegge e il Rinnegato ; 3 – Il Rinnegato deve rimanere l’ultimo personaggio in gioco.Le regole: Un giocatore può sparare ad un altro giocatore utilizzando una carta che riporta il simbolo “Bang!”. Se il bersaglio ha una carta “Mancato” la può giocare e evita di essere colpito, altrimenti perde un proiettile. Quando un personaggio perde l’ultimo proiettile, è eliminato. Una carta “Birra” può essere usata per recuperare un punto-vita. Un personaggio non può avere più punti-vita di quelli con cui ha iniziato il gioco. Normalmente ad un giocatore è concesso di giocare una sola carta “Bang!” durante il proprio turno, ma si possono giocare altre carte per rubare una carta dalla mano di un giocatore, per obbligare un giocatore a scartare una carta, per mettere in prigione un personaggio, per cambiare la distanza relativa rispetto agli altri giocatori oppure per cambiare la distanza a cui si può sparare. Alla fine del proprio turno, un personaggio non può avere in mano più carte di quanti siano i suoi proiettili attuali. Deve quindi scartare le carte in eccesso. Il gioco continua in senso orario, con ogni giocatore che pesca due carte all’inizio del proprio turno, fino a che lo Sceriffo è eliminato oppure fino a che tutti i Fuorilegge e il Rinnegato sono stati eliminati. Espansioni : 1 – High Noon (Mezzogiorno di fuoco): un mazzo di 13 carte che vengono tenute dallo Sceriffo. Le carte non sono fatte per essere giocate da un giocatore in particolare; lo Sceriffo rivela la carta in cima al mazzo all’inizio di ciascuno dei propri turni, e gli effetti della carta si applicano a tutti i giocatori, fino al successivo turno dello Sceriffo. Può succedere che i personaggi perdano le loro abilità speciali oppure i giocatori possano trovarsi a pescare una carta in meno all’inizio del turno. Oppure le carte “Bang!” possono essere vietate, come pure le carte “Birra” ; 2 – Dodge City: un set di 15 nuovi personaggi e 40 nuove carte da giocare. Inoltre viene introdotto un secondo Rinnegato, portando il totale dei giocatori a otto;  3 – A Fistful of Cards: espansione simile a High Noon, sono 15 nuove carte tenute dallo Sceriffo. Ad ogni turno entra in gioco una carta, i cui effetti si applicano a tutti i giocatori. Alcune delle carte di questa espansione sono state create selezionando le idee proposte dai partecipanti ad un concorso pubblico appositamente indetto dalla casa editrice.

Quindi vediamo un po’ cosa vi perdete a non leggere le storie della nostra bella collega !

Desdemona “Desdy” Metus: vive a Firenze, condivide un appartamento in affitto con l’amica Brighitta. Lavora come speaker radiofonica in un’emittente locale, Radio Strega, dove conduce una trasmissione di successo: L’Insonne, appunto, che va in onda tutti i giorni a partire da mezzanotte. La madre di Desdy è scomparsa quando lei era in tenera età: questo evento scioccante è probabilmente all’origine dell’insonnia cronica che la accompagna ed è certamente la causa del pessimo rapporto con il padre Isaia. L’Insonne è un fumetto italiano pubblicato nel formato bonellide a partire dal 1994. La prima esperienza editoriale (sotto il marchio pressoché sconosciuto di B.B.D. Presse) si è fermata dopo appena tre numeri distribuiti in edicola, poi vennero stampati e pubblicati da diversi editori altri albi fuori collana, per lo più distribuiti durante le varie manifestazioni del settore. La perseveranza dei creatori, Giuseppe Di Bernardo e Andrea J. Polidori, è stata premiata solo nel 2005, a più di dieci anni di distanza dalla prima uscita, quando l’allora emergente casa editrice Free Books accetta di pubblicare i nuovi episodi inediti all’interno della collana Thriller. La serie, apprezzata da critica e lettori, è composta di tredici episodi più alcuni speciali, ed ha vinto il premio ComicUS 2006 come miglior serie italiana.A seguito di reiterati ritardi nella pubblicazione degli albi, tuttavia, anche il sodalizio con Free Books si interrompe senza che si concluda il ciclo previsto dagli autori. Il testimone viene allora raccolto dalla casa editrice Edizioni Arcadia. L’ennesimo numero 1 della serie è in realtà l’undicesimo del ciclo e viene pubblicato ad un anno di distanza dal numero 10 targato Free Books.

Da ricordare che nel 2008 per l’editore DE Bucchia Editore è uscito un romanzo di Giuseppe Di Berbardo, con storie inedite di Desdemona.

Un metro e settantasette per 54 chili. Sono queste le misure della celebre modella francese ventitreenne, Filippa Hamilton, che però è stata licenziata dalla casa di moda Ralph Lauren perché ritenuta incredibilmente troppo grassa. La ragazza, racconta il tabloid newyorchese Daily News, lavorava con questa azienda dal 2002 e la considerava “una sua seconda famiglia”. Poco tempo fa era rimasta sconvolta nel vedere una sua foto pubblicitaria ritoccata al photoshop, che la rendeva ancora più sottile, magrissima da far spavento. La campagna era destinata solo al mercato giapponese, tuttavia la ragazza subì uno choc nel vedere la sua faccia attaccata ad un corpo così innaturalmente smunto. Ma tutto poteva immaginare tranne che un giorno sarebbe stata cacciata per motivi di peso. “Mi hanno licenziato – ha raccontato la modella – perché secondo loro sono sovrappeso e non sono più in grado di indossare i loro vestiti”. Diversa le versione fornita dalla casa di moda: “Filippa è una ragazza bellissima e assolutamente sana. Tuttavia – si legge in una nota – il nostro rapporto con lei s’é interrotto per colpa della sua incapacità a rispettare gli obblighi previsti dal suo contratto”. Quindi Ralph Lauren esprime il proprio rammarico per la foto diffusa in Giappone, ma conferma la sua decisione: “Ci assumiamo tutta la responsabilità di quanto è accaduto. Si tratta di un’immagine erroneamente diffusa in Giappone, molto diversa da quella lanciata negli Stati Uniti. Insomma riconosciamo il nostro errore che però non ha nulla a che vedere con il licenziamento di Filippa”.

L’Inno di Mameli utilizzato come colonna sonora di uno spot pubblicitario di una nota azienda che produce calze e collant. Cantato da una voce femminile, che sottolinea lo spirito da “sorelle d’Italia” sotteso alla pubblicità. Ed è subito polemica. Il sottosegretario al Lavoro, Pasquale Viespoli, dice che piuttosto sarebbe meglio “fare pubblicità all’Inno”. Più duro il presidente della Provincia di Savona, Angelo Vaccarezza: “E’ una vergogna”.

La colonna sonora. Si chiama “Sorelle d’Italia” la colonna sonora del nuovo spot 2009 di Calzedonia. Nel video, diretto dal regista Luca Lucini, scorrono le immagini di donne che, avvolte in calze e collant, si abbandonano a momenti di svago o relax. Alla fine dello spot, una dedica: “A Italia, Vittoria, Laura e tutte le altre”. Ma non rappresenta l’unico esempio di un utilizzo più o meno “improprio” dell’Inno. Già l’attore milanese Paolo Rossi, durante uno spettacolo teatrale, aveva utilizzato le parole di Fratelli d’Italia, ma sulle note di Sapore di sale, per fare la parodia dell’Italietta.

Le reazioni. “Più che usare l’inno nazionale distorto per fare pubblicità, bisognerebbe fare pubblicità all’inno nazionale” commenta il sottosegretario al Lavoro, Pasquale Viespoli, secondo il quale sarebbe meglio “lasciare l’inno nazionale agli ambiti istituzionali e non usarlo per fini pubblicitari”.

Più duro il commento di Angelo Vaccarezza, presidente della Provincia di Savona: “Con il canto degli italiani non si gioca. E non si può nemmeno metterlo sotto i piedi”. Vaccarezza – vivace protagonista di tanti raduni degli alpini – ha messo a mezz’asta le bandiere di Palazzo Nervi, sede della Provincia, poche ore dopo l’attentato di Kabul prima ancora che venisse proclamato il lutto nazionale. E ha dipinto di bianco, rosso e verde il palazzo comunale. “L’inno non è uno scherzo, è una cosa seria, e sentirlo in un spot di calze da donna è una vergogna. Chiedo all’azienda di toglierlo, non deve essere violato in alcun modo. Lo chiedo a nome non solo dei savonesi, ma di tutti coloro che hanno a cuore il canto degli italiani che rappresenta la nostra nazione”. Appello condiviso da Romano La Russa, coordinatore provinciale del Pdl milanese: “Calzedonia sospenda  immediatamente la messa in onda di quella pubblicità infame, altrimenti inviteremo i cittadini a denunciare l’autore dello spot e il responsabile dell’Authority per mancata vigilanza”. “Non si può svilire l’inno di Mameli per vendere delle volgarissime calze – continua La Russa – è uno scempio assistere all’inno di Mameli utilizzato in una pubblicità per la vendita di calzamaglia da donna”.

Myra Ellen “Tori” Amos (Newton, 22 agosto 1963) è una cantante, cantautrice e pianista statunitense. Tori Amos è considerata da critici e pubblico come una delle più importanti figure del rock al femminile degli anni novanta grazie a lavori come Little Earthquakes (1992), Under the Pink (1994) e From the Choirgirl Hotel (1998). È figlia di un reverendo metodista e di un’insegnante di origini indiane cherokee. Inizia a suonare il piano a soli due anni e a 5 anni la bambina vince una borsa di studio in uno dei conservatori più prestigiosi d’America (il Peabody Conservatory di Baltimora). Tuttavia il conflitto con il classicismo del conservatorio e con gli ideali bacchettoni della famiglia nasce dopo pochi anni dal suo ingresso nella scuola: Myra Ellen Amos era diventata una ribelle che preferiva improvvisare al piano le canzoni dei suoi miti (Led Zeppelin, The Doors, Elton John, Jimi Hendrix per citarne alcuni) piuttosto che eseguire a memoria le sonate di Beethoven (come faceva di solito). A fine anni ottanta la Atlantic finalmente la nota e le fa incidere con il suo gruppo “Y Kant Tori Read” (che vedeva tra gli altri anche la presenza di Matt Sorum, futuro batterista dei Guns N’ Roses) l’omonimo album nell ‘88, questo album caratterizzato da sonorità Hard-Rock fu un enorme flop che spinse l’Atlantic ad “esiliare” l’artista temporaneamente nel Regno Unito in piccole collaborazioni. Sebbene non in patria, la Amos non si diede per vinta, anzi ritornò al suo primo amore e cioè la canzone d’autore e diede vita a Little Earthquakes, inizialmente respinto dalla sua casa discografica venne finalmente pubblicato nel 1992. Il risultato fu molto buono con 2.000.000 di copie vendute negli States e 5 milioni in tutto il mondo. In quest’album ricorrono tutti i temi principali della crescita della Amos: il difficile rapporto con la religione, e di conseguenza con il padre prete, il suo femminismo, la vicenda dello stupro, la guerra agli stereotipi. La cantautrice compie virtuosismi pianistici e vocali non indifferenti donando alle tracce una musicalità del tutto particolare e dando al rock nuove sfumature: il pianoforte è impiegato in tutte le canzoni, gli acuti strazianti sottolineano ancora di più la rabbia e il dolore della cantante. Il rapporto con il suo strumento diventa tra l’altro famoso grazie alla postura che assume solitamente mentre lo suona nei suoi concerti dal vivo: a gambe divaricate e la testa china indietro, quasi come se stesse avendo un rapporto sessuale. Nel 1992 viene pubblicato l’EP di Crucify che contiene 4 brani: la versione “remix” di Crucify, un altro brano estratto dal precedente disco (Winter) e 3 cover: Smells Like Teen Spirit dei Nirvana, Thank You dei Led Zeppelin e Angie dei Rolling Stones. Il 1994 è l’anno della rivelazione per Tori Amos: il suo secondo album Under the Pink la consacra come una delle figure femminili principali della musica rock degli anni novanta. Il nuovo album, lanciato dal singolo Cornflake Girl, vende oltre tre milioni di copie solo negli Stati Uniti e 8 milioni in tutto il mondo. Nel 1996 Tori Amos incide in Irlanda Boys for Pele, chiamato così in onore di Pele, dea hawaiana del fuoco. Nelle 18 tracce che costituiscono l’album, l’artista suona, oltre che il suo fedele pianoforte Bosendorfer, il clavicembalo. Abbiamo così modo di ascoltare canzoni in cui questo strumento assume quasi la sonorità di una chitarra elettrica, come ad esempio in Professional Widow un brano rock dedicato a Courtney Love (moglie di Kurt Cobain, leader dei Nirvana) oramai diventata appunto una vedova di professione. Ricordiamo che con un remix dance di questa canzone, curato da Armand van Helden, la Amos diventa anche un idolo delle discoteche. Le altre tracce sono caratterizzate da una sonorità cupa, quasi spettrale che portano Tori Amos comporre canzoni come Talula o Way Down. Il disco replica il successo del precedente con 6 milioni di copie vendute in tutto il mondo. Due anni più tardi la cantautrice della North Carolina pubblica From the Choirgirl Hotel, un album concepito dopo un aborto naturale, episodio vissuto in maniera sentitamente drammatica da Tori Amos come ci fa capire nel brano rock di apertura Spark. In questo album la Amos affronta nuove sonorità completamente differenti dalle sue opere precedenti, come si può ascoltare in Raspberry Swirl, nella quale il pianoforte diventa addirittura uno strumento con cui suonare musica dance. Vi sono tuttavia anche brani più dolci come Jackie’s Strenght, che narra delle vicende di Jacqueline Kennedy. Ancora una volta il disco riscuote un grande successo sia in patria che all’estero, vendendo più di 5 milioni di copie in tutto il mondo. Solo un anno dopo assistiamo alla pubblicazione di To Venus and back, un doppio album comprendente una strepitosa performance dal vivo. Il disco inedito può essere considerata come la naturale evoluzione di From the Choirgirl Hotel: l’utilizzo innovativo dell’elettronica rende totalmente nuovo il sound di Tori, permettendole di esprimere ulteriori sfaccettature della sua anima poliedrica. Il progetto, molto ambizioso e particolare, non ottiene lo stesso successo dei precedenti lavori della Amos, ma riesce comunque a vendere 3 milioni di copie. Nel 2001 la dea del rock (così la chiamano i suoi fan) si cimenta in un’opera ambiziosa: Strange Little Girls, un album composto di sole cover, 12 in totale. Le canzoni originali erano tutte cantate da uomini e trattano tutte lo stesso argomento: le donne. La Amos dà un’interpretazione completamente diversa di ogni canzone e così 12 strane piccole ragazze (anzi 13, due sono gemelle) prendono vita; canzoni come quelle di Neil Young, degli Stranglers, di Tom Waits, di Eminem, degli Slayer e dei Beatles vengono completamente stravolte dalla cantautrice che questa volta suona oltre il pianoforte, il piano elettrico wurlitzer. Tuttavia l’opera non raggiunge il successo sperato: l’album si presenta alquanto noioso e scialbo. Tori Amos sembra quasi esagerare con gli acuti prolungati che caratterizzano alcune delle canzoni. Restano insomma da citare sole due delle strane piccole ragazze: Strange Little Girl e Heart of Gold. Nonostante un buon inizio (debutta al quarto posto negli Stati Uniti) non riesce a replicare il successo dei precedenti lavori. I 2 milioni di copie vendute non sono considerati dalla Atlantic un risultato soddisfacente e decide di licenziare la Amos, la quale decide di passa alla casa discografica Epic.Per la Atlantic pubblicherà nel 2003 Tales of a Librarian, un’”antologia musicale” come lo definisce l’artista stessa, ossia un album con una raccolta dei suoi successi. Così, dopo un matrimonio con il suo tecnico del suono Mark Hawley e l’inizio di una gravidanza, Tori Amos compone nel 2002 Scarlet’s Walk, un album romanzato che narra le vicende appunto di Scarlet (Rossella, in onore di Rossella O’Hara del romanzo Via col vento). Un album molto più tranquillo rispetto agli altri, un album in cui la cantautrice di Newton si immedesima completamente in Scarlet raccontandone le vicende, un album politico (Tori Amos si dichiarò sinceramente colpita dagli avvenimenti dell’11 settembre 2001), un album che tratta, come di consueto, la religione. Qui l’artista riesce a donarci melodie più semplici da seguire grazie ad un approccio completamente diverso con il piano elettrico wurlitzer, strumento che accompagna dolcemente la voce della Amos questa volta più pacata e riflessiva. Scarlet’s Walk rappresenta uno dei capitoli più importanti e artisticamente maturi della cantante; come tutto ciò composto da Tori Amos, anche Scarlet’s Walk può inizialmente disorientare, non trattandosi di un “easy” album. Nelle classifiche il disco riscuote un discreto successo vendendo 2 milioni di copie, ma gli anni d’oro per la Amos sembrano definitivamente passati. Tre anni dopo, in seguito alla nascita della figlia Natashya, Tori Amos pubblica The Beekeeper, nel quale vengono affrontati molteplici argomenti che l’artista racchiude in piccoli nuclei tematici, appunti simili alle celle di un favo. In quest’album è presente anche un duetto con il cantautore irlandese Damien Rice. The Beekeeper, a detta di Tori Amos, è il frutto di enormi cambiamenti nella sua vita privata (la nascita della figlia) e di una maggiore pace con sé stessa e col passato non sempre felice. The Beekeeper presenta brani più orecchiabili e radiofonici, senza necessariamente sentire una mancanza di qualità. Argomento particolarmente importante dell’album è la religione, soprattutto la questione delle due Marie e la concezione limitata che si ha di queste due figure. Ancora una volta il disco riesce a vendere piuttosto bene, superando i 2 milioni di copie. Nel 2005 Tori Amos è stata impegnata nel suo settimo tour mondiale Original Sinsuality. Tra l’agosto e l’autunno 2005 sono stati pubblicati sei bootleg live. Il 1º maggio 2007 viene pubblicato l’album, registrato in Cornovaglia come il precedente, American Doll Posse. Secondo le dichiarazioni della cantante stessa e della casa discografica, il nuovo album di Tori, coprodotto dalla poetessa americana Erzsebet Beck, si presenta con uno stampo fortemente rock, presentando melodie più forti e meno soft. Affronta come sempre temi forti come la religione e la politica. Il disco vende un milione e mezzo di copie in tutto il mondo, vendendo molto bene negli USA, ma non altrettanto in Gran Bretagna.L’artista vive in Inghilterra. I brani dell’album, spiega l’artista, sono stati concepiti in un momento molto particolare, in cui la società è stata costretta ad affrontare una profonda crisi economica.
