Una Marilyn Monroe del tutto inedita, che fuma marijuana divertita insieme ad alcuni amici. E’ quanto si vede in un video amatoriale diffuso 50 anni dopo i fatti. Il filmato, muto e a colori, è stato acquistato dal collezionista Keya Morgan per 275 mila dollari. A venderglielo l’autore del filmato, un fotografo che ha chiesto di rimanere anonimo. L’agenzia Reuters ha avuto il permesso di trasmettere un minuto del filmato, che dura in tutto quattro minuti. Il proprietario ha fatto sapere che i diritti saranno venduti su eBay nel corso della prossima settimana. Morgan, collezionista di foto storiche, manoscritti, autografi e documenti vari, sta realizzando un documentario sulla morte di Marilyn nell’agosto ‘62. Ha scoperto l’esistenza del filmato durante il suo lavoro e ha contrattato la vendita con il proprietario che conservava il video in un vasto archivio sull’attrice. La raccolta, passata di casa in casa, è poi finita in un attico per tre anni. La Monroe appare felice e rilassata in un incontro tra amici, avvenuto, secondo Morgan, tra il 1958 e il 1959. Ad un certo punto la star prende una sigaretta e fa un tiro ma non sembra aspirare profondamente. Poi mette il naso sul gomito, annusando e ridendo. Il fotografo ha confermato che la sigaretta conteneva marijuana. “Era mia – ha spiegato l’uomo – non eravamo ad una festa, era solo un rapido incontro tra amici”.
