FALL APART / frame from the wood
Federica Di Lorenzo espone in una nuova mostra, per nostra fortuna, a Napoli, dal 25 novembre al Teatro Instabile ,( via Fico Purgatorio ad Arco,38 Napoli).Dopo le meraviglie acquatiche di ” CRAKING WATER “, stavolta potremo ammirare un meraviglioso ” bosco”.
Ecco il pensiero dell’artista:
“Fall apart è un bosco non solo fisico ricreato fotograficamente e con l’ausilio delle foglie, ma un bosco mentale.
Un posto esterno che entra in una cavità sotterranea e chiusa come il teatro.E’ un luogo nel quale essere, un luogo nel quale ricordare.
La selva-ventre ci avvolge e ci invita alla riflessione.
Le foglie sono ciò resta, ciò che cade, che fuoriesce.
Sono i ricordi, sono le immagini e i suoni.
Le foto che saranno per terra con le foglie hanno la stessa valenza: possono essere prelevate, come le sensazioni e i ricordi, puoi portarle via con te.
L’instabilità è data dalla mutazione dell’installazione fotografica, lo spettatore entra a far parte del bosco e ne stacca un frammento, e la mostra si esaurirà da sè, proprio con l’esauriemento delle foglie ricordo.”
Federica Di Lorenzo nata ad Eboli (Sa) studia Conservazione dei Beni Culturali presso l’Istituto Suor Orsola Benincasa di Napoli, con particolare attenzione per l’arte contemporanea. Concilia la sua passione per fotografia e per la musica occupandosi di reportages di eventi musicali come collaboratrice freelance per alcuni megazine, curando anche artworks per gli artisti del settore. Dall’interesse e lo studio dell’arte contemporanea nascono particolari progetti fotografici realizzati su supporti in plexiglass, mettendo in relazione diversi livelli comunicativi. Dal 2001 ad oggi ha esposto in diverse collettive e personali presso spazi campani, tra gli ultimi lavori si ricordano:
“Signs In Sale” 2008 stampe fotografiche su plexiglass;
“Crackling Water” 2009 stampe fotografiche su plexiglass.

Federica Di Lorenzo born in Eboli (SA) examines the Cultural Heritage Preservation Institute Suor Orsola Benincasa in Naples, with particular emphasis on contemporary art. Reconcile his passion for photography and for taking care of music, videos of musical performances as a freelance contributor for some MEGAzine, caring also artworks for artists in the industry. Interest and the study of contemporary art developed special photography project on media in plexiglass, linking different levels of communication. Since 2001 has exhibited in several collective and personal spaces at Campania, among recent works include:”Signs On Sale” 2008 photographic prints on Plexiglas;”Crackling Water” 2009 photographic prints on plexiglass.
