Entrerà in vigore  il 1 gennaio, una legge anti-paparazzi che è stata promossa in particolare da Jennifer Aniston. Sono previsti provvedimenti civili contro i paparazzi che scattano foto in situazioni in cui le star si aspettano privacy, come quando sono in giardino. La legge prevede che le multe siano estese anche ai giornali che dovessero pubblicare foto evidentemente scattate in modo illegale. Molti vip con figli come Jennifer Garner si sono lamentati del comportamento aggressivo dei paparazzi. Karen Bass, che ha presentato al Times la nuova legge, ha raccontato di come il problema degli inseguimenti in auto, soprattutto quando ci sono bambini a bordo, sia ormai fuori controllo: “Ci devono essere dei limiti”, ha aggiunto.
