“Kretino!”, “Kretone!” Perché questa battuta dovrebbe far ridere invece che essere stupida (ma le cose che non si escludono)? Solo perché è di Leo Ortolani? Basterebbe, ma c’è dell’altro e non saremo noi a spiegarvelo. Per capire il vero colpo di genio di Ortolani, e capire come su una battuta del genere (“k” comprese) si possa basare uno stupendo omaggio a un classico del fumetto recente, costruendo al tempo stesso una storia autonoma e originale, vi dovrete leggere o rileggere 299+1 (e se ancora sapete fare le somme, un po’ di indicazioni su quello di cui stiamo parlando le avete già). Chi ricorda la prima edizione di questa storia dalle pagine di RAT-MAN, non faccia il Kretone più di tanto, perché qui stiamo parlando di qualcosa che manco s’immagina. La storia ovviamente è sempre quella ma invece del classico bianco e nero di Rat-Man, in questa edizione nuova  trovate i colori inediti al 100% dell’altro Ortolani: Lorenzo, fratello di Leo . E già da questa pagina dovrebbe essere chiaro che oltre a stordirvi per forza, pathos e drammaticità, questi colori vi trascineranno giù, ancora più giù, sempre più giù nel mondo livido e abbacinante di Leo Ortolani e del suo 299+1 .

“Kretino”, “Kreton!” Why should this joke make you laugh instead of being stupid (but things are not mutually exclusive)? Just because it is Leo Ortolani? Enough, but there’s more and we will not explain. To understand the real stroke of genius Ortolani, and understand how such a joke ( “k” included) it can base a wonderful tribute to a classic comic strip, which was built at the same time a self-contained story and original, you will have read or reread 299 +1 (and if you still know how to do the sums, a bit ‘of information about what we are talking about you have them already). Who remembers the first edition of this story from the pages of RAT-MAN, do not be Kreton that much, because here we are talking about something that not even imagine. The story of course is always that but instead of the classic black and white Rat-Man, in this edition are new colors 100% of the other unpublished Ortolani Lorenzo, brother of Leo. Already this page should be clear that beyond stunned to strength, pathos and drama, these colors will drag down even lower, deeper and deeper into the world bruise and dazzling Leo Ortolani and his 299 +1.
